Harry Poehlmann, 2010 President

The Home Builders Association of Northern Colorado is a non-profit trade organization of home builders and related industry professionals.

Mission Statement

The Association is dedicated to promoting high ethical standards, education, and leadership for it’s growing membership.

Through our active involvement, the goal of the Association is to be responsible to our communities and our environment. We provide information, services, and resources, thereby, enhancing the quality of life within our communities.

The Home Builders Association of Northern Colorado was organized in 1968 and chartered by the National Association of Home Builders as an Affiliated Association in May of 1969 to serve Northern Colorado, including Greeley, Loveland, Fort Collins, Fort Morgan, Windsor and surrounding communities.

Membership in the local association includes membership in the Colorado Association of Home Builders and the National Association of Home Builders

The Association sponsors the Annual Parade of Homes and Home and Remodel Show to increase public awareness of new technology and building practices.

Since 1968 our Association has been involved in many community wide efforts and programs throughout Northern Colorado. We are dedicated to our citizens as we continue to assist those less fortunate by making donations to Habitat for Humanity, United Way, local food banks, the Discovery Center, Make a Wish Foundation, Neighbor to Neighbor, WingShadow, Interfaith Network, and Harmony House. We strive to educate our young people by providing scholarship donations to Colorado State University.

 Building the Future--A Charity Foundation

The Home Builders Association of Northern Colorado has formed a Charity Foundation--"Building the Future " which will be used as a method of funding community projects, primarily wheelchair ramp for residents who do not have resources or financial ability to build the necessary ramp on their own.

We have filed  the Articles of Incorporation with the Secretary of State and have received IRS Charity designation. Donations to the Foundation are tax deductible as a Charity Donation.

Dean Rodhal, Rodahl and Company, CPA’s is our registered agent and is served as the first president of the Foundation. An annual contribution of $50.00 will grant you membership in the Foundation.

For information on the foundation, please call the HBA Office 970-686-2798 and a packet of information can be mailed to you. Click here for application for assistance.

Following the May 22, 2008 Tornado in Windsor, the Foundation solicited funds for a special community project in Windsor. On March 10, 2009 the Foundation donated a total of $23,800 to re-Create a Field of Dreams in Chimney Park. Funding was donated by HBA members. The Park was severely damaged in the Tornado and is being rebuilt through a community effort involving many individuals, companies and foundations.
